The solutions provided Speaker Installations - SMARTeducation supplied and installed several sets of powered speakers to existing classroom solutions. October 2006.

Interactive Whiteboard Installations - SMARTeducation supplied and installed a number of SMART Boards with ceiling mounted projectors and audio into various classrooms around the school. The company also came up with a solution in one classroom where another company had said an installation would not be possible, to do this they had a projector mount specially made. July 2006 and September 2006.

De-install and re-install - SMARTeducation provided a solution whereby a projector was de-installed and re-installed on a suitable ceiling mount so that at a later date it can be moved to fit onto a larger interactive whiteboard with minimal disruption. September 2006.

Hall Installation - SMARTeducation installed a 3.5 metre screen into the school hall with a ceiling mounted projector. Here they selected an appropriate projector to provide two inputs for computers and other such peripherals. They also ensured that the projector was of a sufficient brightness for large venues. For this installation SMARTeducation supplied a custom made projection screen to give better contrast and to make the most out of the projector and its contrast. August 2006.

Choosing SMARTeducation

We wanted to install a new hall projector and screen so we contacted our usual company, SMARTeducation and another company. The solution offered by SMARTeducation met our minimum requirements. The reasonable price, availability of dates for the engineers to be on site and completed, the advice and support offered were a clear deciding factor too. We chose SMARTeducation and have not looked back!

SMARTeducation's handling of our requirement

Our Account Manager, Simon Pearce, has been extremely helpful at every stage of enquiry. He has given sound advice and found solutions to all our educational needs to date. In particular, when we have agreed a solution, he sends the quote immediately and promptly organises a date for installation.

The installation engineers have always been professional when on site and have communicated very effectively when clarification of any part of an installation has been requested. Importantly, they have ensured that cabling is discreet and that the site is left clean and tidy.

The completed solutions: their use and effectiveness

Our teaching rooms have interactive whiteboards with sound and are used for lessons across the curriculum. The school actively uses ICT in a variety of forms to enhance teaching and learning. Therefore having an audio visual solution that works immediately after installation and does not fail when in a classroom situation is very important. The staff have been very happy with SMARTeducation's solutions.

The hall screen is large enough to meet our need to view it clearly from the back of the hall and from our balcony. The usage of the screen has increased considerably and has already been used for a variety of school events, extra curricular activities, assemblies and the school production. The students and staff have been impressed with the improved quality of sound and clarity of picture.
